Candy AI Shorts review: is it actually worth paying for?

Qualified yes

Yes, but only on conditions: Candy Shorts is worth paying for if you want AI-generated explicit short series and you take the 12-month plan at $47.88. At the $13.99 monthly rate it is poor value, and if you want long stories it is the wrong product entirely. The fact that decides the question is one nobody else has published. Of the 128 series in the catalogue, 109 are exactly five episodes long, and two of those five are free. On 85% of the catalogue you are paying for three episodes. That makes Candy Shorts a browsing catalogue of short pieces, not a library you work through. The free tier is a sample rather than a trial (episode 1 with no account, episode 2 with a free account, everything after that costs tokens) but it is an honest sample, and the free episodes look exactly like the paid ones. Watch four or five first episodes before you hand over a card.

Every Candy Shorts review we could find was written from the outside: two free episodes, a glance at the pricing page, a verdict. We did it the other way round. On 30 September 2026 we pulled the entire live catalogue, counted all 128 series and all 687 episodes, and only then formed a view. The numbers came first and the opinion came second.

One disclosure before anything else. This site is independent. We are not Candy.ai and we are not EverAI Limited, the Malta company that operates the service. The link we carry to the official site is an affiliate link and we may earn a commission if you subscribe through it. That is precisely why this page spends more words on the reasons not to pay than on the reasons to. A review that only lists strengths is an advertisement.

The short verdict, question by question

QuestionOur answer
Is it a real product?Yes. A live catalogue of 128 series and 687 episodes, operated by EverAI Limited. Not a scam.
Is it explicit?Yes. Most series contain full nudity and explicit sex shown rather than implied. It is pornographic in intent and nothing is censored.
Is the free tier a trial? No. It is a permanent sample: 241 of 687 episodes are free, and they are the first two episodes of nearly every series.
Is it good value? On the 12-month plan at $3.99 a month, yes. At $13.99 a month, no.
Is the pricing clear? No. There is a subscription and a separate token cost per episode, and the interaction between the two is the weakest part of the product.
Are real performers in it?Four licensed their likeness. None of them filmed anything.
Should everyone buy it?No. Four groups of people should not, and we name them below.

What you are actually buying

Candy Shorts is the vertical-video arm of Candy.ai. It runs on two official surfaces (candyshorts.com as a standalone site, and candy.ai/candy-shorts inside the main app) with the same catalogue on both. It is a scrollable feed of AI-generated short episodes, roughly one to two minutes each, grouped into ongoing scripted series with a recurring cast rather than the one-off clips most AI video sites produce. Everything on screen is generated. No footage is filmed.

The catalogue splits into three scopes that the platform itself exposes as filter tabs: 96 series built around Candy characters, 23 around other characters, and 9 in the Candy Creators tier. Its own category pills give you a reliable read on the editorial slant without anyone having to invent a rating scale: Taboo 56, Milf 32, Nympho 23, Stepsister 20, Stepmom 19, Wife 18, New 11, Fantasy 10, Cuckold 9, Spicy 8, Maid 4, Teacher 3. Eighteen series carry no tag at all. If those tags describe things you do not want to watch, that is your answer and you can stop reading here: this is a heavily taboo-weighted catalogue and it does not pretend otherwise.

The five-episode problem, which decides the whole question

Here is the single most important number in this review, and as far as we can tell no one else has published it: 109 of the 128 series are exactly five episodes long. The other 19 are not five, and eight of those nineteen are registration-gated series that publish no episode count at all to a logged-out visitor, so we can say what they are not rather than what they are. Average across the whole catalogue and you get 5.4 episodes per series.

Now apply the free rule. Nearly every series gives two free episodes, 119 of 128 give exactly two, one gives three, and eight are registration-gated and show nothing at all to a logged-out visitor. So on a five-episode series, you pay for three episodes. Three episodes of roughly one to two minutes each. That is the unit of purchase on 85% of this catalogue.

Whether that is acceptable depends entirely on what you thought you were buying. If you expected a library of long-running stories, you will be disappointed within a week: the handful of genuinely long series is short enough to list, My bestie betrayed me at 34 episodes, then YES MA’AM, Mona’s Worst Enemy and Caught Between Sisters at 15 each. Everything else stops almost as soon as it starts. Series do not conclude so much as run out. If instead you treat Candy Shorts as a browsing catalogue (open something, watch five minutes, move on) the shape of it makes sense and the 128-series breadth is genuinely the point. Our view is that the second reading is the honest one, and the marketing does nothing to set that expectation.

What it costs, and the token layer nobody explains

There are two prices, which is one more than there should be. The subscription:

PlanTotal billedEffective monthlyDiscount
Monthly$13.99$13.99,
3 months$26.97$8.9935% off
12 months$47.88$3.9970% off, badged “Best Value”

The spread is brutal. Twelve months of the monthly plan costs $167.88; the annual plan costs $47.88 for the same twelve months. That is a $120 penalty for not committing up front, which tells you the monthly rate exists to make the annual one look inevitable rather than to be bought.

Then there is the token layer. Paid episodes are not simply unlocked by having a subscription, each one carries a token price. It is 12 tokens per paid episode on 113 series, and 30 tokens per paid episode on the 7 Candy Creators series that expose episode data. Do the arithmetic on a standard five-episode series and finishing it costs 36 tokens. Finishing a five-episode Candy Creators series costs 90. Finishing the 34-episode series means paying for 32 episodes.

The allowance is the figure that decides whether any of that is affordable, and it is the one nobody else publishes: Premium includes 100 tokens per month, read from Candy.ai’s own plan page on 30 September 2026. That buys eight standard paid episodes a month at 96 tokens, or three Candy Creators episodes at 90. In practice a month’s tokens finish two standard five-episode series with a little left over. They do not finish one 15-episode series, which needs 156 tokens, and the 446 paid episodes in the catalogue are not reachable on any realistic run of monthly allowances. On the 12-month plan that works out at roughly 50 cents per paid episode; at the monthly rate it is roughly $1.75. We have set out everything we could confirm on the Candy Shorts pricing page, including what appears on your statement.

One point in the subscription’s favour that no competing page states: it is not a Shorts-only product. The same plan page lists “Create your own AI Girlfriend(s)”, “Generate 18+ Videos”, “Generate 18+ Images”, “Full Live Action Experience”, “Unlimited text messages” and “100 tokens per month”, so the answer to whether you need two subscriptions to use Candy.ai properly is no.

What Candy Shorts does well

Breadth. 128 series is a real catalogue. The two competing guide sites that rank for these queries publish 23 and 10 series respectively, which should tell you how little of it most people writing about it have actually seen. Whatever you are looking for within a fairly narrow set of themes, it is probably in there.

Continuity. This is the genuine differentiator over the rest of the AI adult video field. Characters recur, episodes follow on from one another, and there is a script. Most AI video products give you a disconnected clip generator. Candy Shorts gives you something closer to a serial, even if the serial is five episodes long.

It does not flinch. The content is uncensored and it is explicit: full nudity, sex shown on screen rather than cut away from, no blurring, no fade-outs. There is no separate clean edit and no toned-down version of a series. If you are trying to work out how far it goes before paying, the free episodes are representative, we cover that in detail on whether Candy Shorts is uncensored and on whether it counts as porn.

Subtitles in seven languages, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. A small thing, entirely unmentioned by any other page on the subject, and it materially changes the product’s usefulness outside English.

A genuinely open front door. 120 episodes play with no account whatsoever. Not a trial, not an email capture, nothing. You can evaluate this product for an hour before it asks you for anything.

What it does badly

The series are too short, and the catalogue is built that way on purpose. We have said it above and it bears repeating because it is the one criticism that survives every other consideration: 109 of 128 series end at episode five.

The token system on top of a subscription is confusing and feels like double-charging. You subscribe, and then episodes still cost tokens. The allowance is 100 a month (eight standard episodes, or two five-episode series and change) which is not ungenerous for the annual price but is nowhere near the whole catalogue, and it is not put in front of you at the point of purchase. The mental model is wrong either way: people who pay a monthly fee expect access, not a meter.

The free tier is a sample, not a trial, and it is easy to mistake one for the other. Nothing unlocks over time, there is no seven-day window, and no amount of watching earns you episode three. We have laid the whole rule out on what you can watch free, because it is the thing most often stated wrongly elsewhere.

Eight series are registration-gated and show nothing at all until you have an account, not an episode count, not a free first episode. You cannot evaluate them before signing up, which undercuts the otherwise good sampling story.

Episode runtimes are not published anywhere we could find. Roughly one to two minutes is the widely repeated figure and it matches what we saw, but we did not measure it and we are not going to assert it as fact. For a product sold by the episode, the absence of a stated runtime is a real transparency failure.

There is an upsell built into the format. Finishing an episode drops you into a chat with that character. That is the actual conversion mechanic of the whole product, and it is worth knowing that the video feed is, structurally, a funnel into the Candy.ai chat service.

Who should not pay for this

  • Anyone who wants long-form stories. Five episodes is the format. If you want something to work through over weeks, this is not it and will not become it.
  • Anyone paying month to month. At $13.99 a month you are paying roughly the price of a streaming subscription for three paid episodes per series on 85% of the catalogue, and we do not think that is good value. Take the annual plan or take nothing.
  • Anyone who wants real performers. There is no filmed footage anywhere in this product. If that matters to you, no amount of likeness licensing will substitute.
  • Anyone who has not watched the free episodes yet. There is no excuse for paying blind when 120 first episodes play without an account. If the free ones do not land, the paid ones are the same thing with more of it.

Who it is worth it for

The person this product genuinely suits watches short-form video the way people actually watch short-form video: opening things, sampling, scrolling on. They want an explicit catalogue with characters and scripts rather than a clip dump, they are relaxed about everything being synthetic, and they are prepared to commit for a year to get the price down to $3.99 a month. For that person, Candy Shorts is the strongest thing currently in this category, and the 70%-off annual rate makes the value question easy.

The person it does not suit has read the phrase “ongoing scripted series” and pictured something with seasons.

The Candy Creators tier is a separate value question

Nine series sit in the Candy Creators scope, built on likenesses that four real adult performers licensed to Candy.ai, what the platform calls digital twins. Riley Reid appears across 4 series, Bonnie Blue across 2, Mia Malkova across 2 and Sophie Dee across 1.

Be clear about what that means, because it is routinely misrepresented. These performers consented and licensed their likeness. They did not film these episodes. There is no original recording behind any of it, the character is generated from the licence, and there is nothing that could leak because nothing was shot. Our full write-up is on the Candy Creators page.

On value: these series cost 30 tokens per paid episode against 12 for everything else, so a five-episode Candy Creators title costs 90 tokens where a standard one costs 36. That is three-quarters of a month’s 100-token allowance for one five-episode series. You are paying two and a half times the rate for a licensed likeness rather than for more or longer content. Whether that is worth it is a personal question, but it should be a conscious one. Worth noting too that the creators page lists 12 people while only those four are credited on any series in the catalogue, the other eight have no series attached to them at present.

Sample it properly before you pay

The free tier is the most useful evaluation tool any product in this category offers, and almost nobody uses it properly. The rule is simple: episode 1 with no account at all, episode 2 with a free account, episode 3 onward costs money. 120 episodes play with no signup whatsoever, which is 120 different series you can open and judge.

Our recommendation is to watch five first episodes across different tags before deciding anything. If four of the five hold your attention, the annual plan will pay for itself. If two do, the catalogue is not for you, and the fact that it contains 128 series rather than 23 will not change that. You can browse the full list on our complete series catalogue, which is the only place all 128 are published with their episode counts.

Billing, cancellation and what we could not check

The billing descriptor is EverAI, not Candy.ai and not Candy Shorts, useful to know before it appears on a statement. Subscriptions renew, and the annual plan is the one most likely to catch someone out twelve months later, so set a reminder on the day you subscribe. We have written up the process separately on how to cancel, and the broader trust question, who operates it, what the real risks are, which sites carrying the name are not legitimate, on is Candy Shorts safe.

Things we deliberately do not assert, because we could not verify them: episode runtimes, refund policy in practice, review scores on third-party platforms, and user numbers. Candy.ai’s own plan page claims “Trusted by 50M Users” and “1000+ Ratings”, and those are its figures, not ours. Other review pages state several of those confidently. Ours does not, and you should weight the two accordingly.

The verdict, with conditions

Buy it if: you take the 12-month plan, you have watched several free episodes first, and you understand that you are buying breadth rather than depth, 128 short series, not a handful of long ones.

Do not buy it if: you are paying monthly, you want long-running stories, you want filmed footage, or you have not yet spent twenty minutes with the free episodes. Those four conditions rule out more people than the marketing would suggest, and we would rather you skipped it than paid $13.99 for three episodes of something you had not sampled.

The recommendation holds because nothing else in the category does continuity and breadth at once, and because $3.99 a month is a defensible price for a catalogue this size. It is not a strong recommendation, and the five-episode ceiling is the reason. Checked against the live catalogue on 30 September 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is Candy AI Shorts worth it?

On the 12-month plan at $47.88, $3.99 a month, yes, if you want an explicit AI video catalogue with recurring characters and scripted series. At the $13.99 monthly rate, no. The deciding fact is that 109 of the 128 series are exactly five episodes long and two of those five are free, so on most of the catalogue you are paying for three episodes per series.

How much does Candy Shorts cost?

The subscription is $13.99 a month, $26.97 for three months ($8.99 a month, 35% off) or $47.88 for twelve months ($3.99 a month, 70% off). On top of the subscription, paid episodes cost tokens: 12 tokens per episode on 113 series and 30 tokens per episode on the 7 Candy Creators series. The billing descriptor is EverAI.

How many episodes does a Candy Shorts series have?

109 of the 128 series are exactly five episodes long, 85% of the catalogue. The longest is My bestie betrayed me at 34 episodes, followed by YES MA'AM, Mona's Worst Enemy and Caught Between Sisters at 15 each. Across the whole catalogue the average is 5.4 episodes per series.

Can you watch Candy Shorts for free?

Partly. 241 of the 687 episodes are free. Episode 1 plays with no account at all, that covers 120 episodes, episode 2 needs a free account, and episode 3 onward costs tokens. 119 of the 128 series give exactly two free episodes and one gives three. It is a permanent sample, not a time-limited trial.

Is Candy Shorts a scam?

No. It is a real product with a live catalogue of 128 series and 687 episodes, operated by EverAI Limited of Malta, with two official surfaces at candyshorts.com and candy.ai/candy-shorts. The legitimate criticisms are about value and pricing clarity, not about whether the product exists.

Is Candy Shorts explicit?

Yes. Most series contain full nudity and explicit sex shown on screen rather than implied, with no censoring and no separate toned-down edit. It is pornographic in intent. The catalogue's own tags give the clearest read on the slant: Taboo 56, Milf 32, Nympho 23, Stepsister 20, Stepmom 19, Wife 18.

Are Riley Reid and Bonnie Blue really in Candy Shorts?

They licensed their likeness to Candy.ai, which calls these digital twins. They did not film any of these episodes and there is no original recording behind them. Riley Reid's likeness appears across 4 series, Bonnie Blue's across 2, Mia Malkova's across 2 and Sophie Dee's across 1, nine series in total.

How many tokens does a Candy Shorts subscription include?

We could not verify this and will not publish a figure. It is the most important gap in the pricing, because without it you cannot calculate a cost per episode before subscribing. Any page that quotes you a precise episodes-per-dollar figure for candy ai shorts is guessing.

What is the difference between Candy Shorts and Candy.ai?

Candy Shorts is the vertical-video arm of Candy.ai. The same catalogue appears standalone at candyshorts.com and inside the Candy AI app at candy.ai/candy-shorts. Finishing an episode drops you into a chat with that character, which is the product's actual conversion mechanic, the video feed funnels into the chat service.
